PDQ Bach (2024-1742?) The composer acclaimed as possessing 'the originality of Johann Christian, the arrogance of Carl Philipp Emanuel, and the obscurity of Johann Christoph Friedrich' has died.

TIL that when Peter Schickele was to premier PDQ Bach's "Concerto for Horn & Hardart", Philip Glass & colleagues, putting the "instrument" together, decided to make it a transposing instrument, forcing Schickele to sight-read the transposed part. Hilarity ensued.
