Children in our #SchoolsToMarket programme raised £1,200 last week by selling delicious chutney - made at school with fresh produce from local farms - at six Whole Foods stores. 🫙🍅
Their work has been truly fruitful - with all proceeds reinvested in further #FoodEducation at their schools.
They did an incredible job - bringing samples, smiles, and serious sales skills (plus creative flavours like Spicy Strawberry) to the shop floor. Every jar sold supports more hands-on #FoodEducation back at their schools.
We’ll report back soon on how much they raised!
#SchoolsToMarket
Almost 100 children and young people will be selling delicious chutney they made at school using fresh produce harvested at local farms. #SchoolsToMarket
They’ll be at all six Whole Foods Market locations today from 11am to 1pm. If you’re nearby, please drop in to show your support.
Growing, cooking, selling! Children and young people taking part in our #YoungMarketeers, #KnowyourOnions and #SchoolstoMarket programmes experience it all. In the coming days, they will be selling their delicious school-grown fruit and veg + chutneys at markets nationwide 👇
