A Dragonfly rests on top of stem of a Scirpus or Woolgrass that has yellow blooms. Behind is the lake with the reflection of the clouds in sky above. Scirpus is a genus of grass-like plants, commonly known as bulrushes or woolgrass, belonging to the sedge family (Cyperaceae). They are rhizomatous perennials with triangular stems and grass-like leaves, typically found in wetlands, marshes, and along water edges, and are known for their distinctive, often woolly-looking, brown or greenish flower/seed heads. Some species, like Scirpus cyperinus (woolgrass), are valuable for wetland restoration.
