The Seafaring Ferret | Willa LaLonde
The Seafaring Ferret by Willa LaLonde, released 17 March 2025
There once was a ferret of some renown
who sailed the sable goose around;
they'd whisper his name in ev'ry town
along the rum-soaked coast.
His fur was a dashing shade of brown
but his ship was a little broken down
and he could have had the pirate crown
but he'd rather eat French toast.
Yo ho, the seafaring ferret: furriest captain on the seven seas;
Aye aye, the seafaring ferret: radical piratical mammal was he.
He smelled like ferret musk you see,
attracted mustelid ladies,
and when his ship sailed in from sea
they'd line up at the dock.
But he would rather play at games
than mess around with landlocked dames;
he would roll the bones and take no names
and leave without a knock.
Yo ho, the seafaring ferret: furriest captain on the seven seas;
Aye aye, the seafaring ferret: radical piratical mammal was he.
