A sea slug, also called a nudibranch, crawls along a dark red sea plant towards the camera. It has two ribbed and spiky antennae, two long feelers sticking out of its face, and a ton of spiky-looking things growing out of its back. Every part of its body, including each of the orange-tipper spikes on its back, is accented by a line of bright opalescent color. Its face has a striking bright orange streak that runs between its antennae.

For my next #invertefest post, I'm sharing an opalescent nudibranch! We had these showing up recently in our favorite tidepools

Some weeks ago I managed to actually get a bit more done on the mug of slugs! The purple/yellow one is mexichromis trilineata and I added some new drawings for costasiella kuroshimae (leaf sheep) and jorunna parva (sea bunny).
