Immensely thankful to our @UWBiology staff (especially Alex Hansen) for protecting our equipment during the #seattleheatwave — due the extreme temperatures, our new building’s HVAC system became overwhelmed & chilled beams reached the dew point (= rain inside procedure rooms! 😱)

First thing I did when I got home was check the temp inside and out.

If your car has been out in the sun, DO NOT just get in it when you need to drive. It can easily hit 200°F (93°C) or more inside a car when it's this hot. Start the car, open all the doors, & run the AC or fan on full for a few min before getting in.
