Coastal communities delighted by 'rare' seismic testing rejection A controversial seismic testing proposal off Victoria's south-west coast has been rejected in a "rare" move from the offshore regulator.

Last week, the national offshore oil and gas regulator rejected plans for major seismic blasting in the Otway Basin, near Warrnambool, Victoria.
