i watched Newt drag this leg from a skip in the street, through the park railings & into the house.

Sleeping so soundly & so very deeply, Newt's breathing is undetectable. At 18 he's perfected his JFC I THOUGHT YOU WERE DEAD sleep mode. The only reason i know he's still with us & just blissed out is the odd fart.

I was crying right beforehand, Oliver jumped up and started snuggling me as if to say "I'm not gone yet!" 😅 I told Oliver that I expect him to "send us" the next cat that needs our love and that I trust him to choose well. It's a little weird to cry about him being gone when he's still here but I'm cherishing every heartbeat, every purr and every meow. I'm thankful it hurts so much because it means he has been so deeply loved and has made a huge impact on our lives. #seniorcat #catsofbluesky
