Continuing to work through this year's craft projects
In October we made jam jar lanterns and paper pumpkins
#SeniorCrafting
Our second December project was painting wooden stars.
We use acrylic paint pens which makes it much easier for the residents
#SeniorCrafting
Need to find a better background than our pale walks but here are 3 types of paper snowflake/star that we'll be making in the Care Homes this month
I wanted to get a picture before they get crumpled in transit

Used strips of Halloween. Autumn and coffee themed craft paper with twisted tissue stalk and leaves

In July we were painting acrylic pendants and making paper sunflowers. We made pompoms for the centre of the flowers
#SeniorCrafting
A few more sheep from this month's classes.
We'll definitely be making pompoms again, the residents have loved them.
I learnt today that the bottle tops from school milk was originally card with a hole for the straw, making them ideal for pompoms

The pompom sheep have had a great response in the care homes. 🧶
Even those that couldn't join in the making enjoyed the texture of the hanks of yarn and fluffiness of the finished sheep

Sofa covered in piles of blankets cards, a large plastic box full of Christmas embellishments and topped off with assorted ribbons and a bag of artificial berries
A new care home group starts next week, taking me up to 8 locations, 15 days and 24 classes!
And November is when the Christmas crafting begins with card making.
So it's time for a stock check before I start buying.
Too much for the dining table, this calls for floor space

Collection of images each of which has a classes worth of poured paint canvases. Resident had their choice from rainbow colours plus white.
Another collection of class images. Cards stencilled with a range of flower, leaf, insect and bird images
Image startd with a simple flower stencil but the resident continued to cover the card with colour. There's a sun, water, soil and greenery aded.
June's Residential Care Home Craft Classes
The first activity was pouring paint with finger painting and general paint squidging going on.
The second was using stencils to decorate cards
I don't normal highlight a specific piece but the final image deserves it
