Comparing Draft 1 to Draft 2. Draft 2 is 50% bigger!

Haven't posted on here in a while but I have some exciting news about #Sentinel2650

After writing 25 chapters, I'm at a resting point in the story. Since I've gotten a lot of feedback on what I've written already, I decided to act on it.

Part 1, Draft 2 is done... and it's way longer!

At long last, I have decided Part One of #Sentinel2650 is done enough to put down leave until I've finished the draft of whole story.

It's gone through MASSIVE upgrades since I first shared it with some friends.

Hooray for Progress!! Woohoo!!

I was up late last night reorganizing and adding important elements to #Sentinel2650!

No more prologue. That section is now Chapters 1-6 and that constitutes Part One.

Part Two has Chapters 7-10 and will likely have more.

Character Alignment: It's not just a D&D thing. It's a foundation for a character's motivation in a story. In Sentinel: 2650, my alignment system isn't Good vs. Evil. Way too simplistic.

Mine is more nuanced and mission-relevant. Basically, it's Explorers vs. Defenders.

Story Update: Chapter 4 is still in progress. The pilot sings to himself while performong docking maneuvers and the other seven bridge officers try very hard not to laugh out loud.

I can't decide whether or not I should tighten things up as I work or finish the whole story first and THEN tighten things up. I think I'll be having this argument with myself throughout the process as I tighten things up while, at the same time, I write new material. 😆
