A very unique read. Stream of consciousness all the way through. Raises lots of philosophical questions about what makes us who we are. Pretty deep stuff. 🤓

Finished the final volume of #Septology. Utterly amazing; not entirely sure what just happened.
Finished reading “The Other Name” this week, volume one of Jon Fosse’s Septology. I thought it was excellent. The writing is so good you can often forget there’s not a single period in the book. Going to read something a little lighter before moving on to volume two. #booksky #septology #jonfosse
I started reading this two years ago. It became my winter book. In a serendipitous event, I ended reading it nearing my 7th anniversary of sobriety during Christmas, as the story ends with Christmas and the protagonist’s own sobriety. A beautiful vision of redemption.

they believe in an an idol, because they believe in good works, in repentance and fasting, in sacraments, in the liturgy, in this or that conduct bringing them closer to God
