Stunning image of NGC 4945, a spiral galaxy in Centaurus, seen edge-on. Its dusty disk obscures much of its light, but reveals a hidden Seyfert 2 nucleus possibly housing a large black hole. Foreground stars and globular clusters are scattered across the field. NGC 4945 is remarkably similar to our own Milky Way.
