Missed this amazing news about 1st recorded presence of a #humpback #whale in the #shannonestuary. A whale has been mentioned as a possible alternate explanation for the monster referred to in the Irish name for #Scattery Island - Inis Cathaigh - said to have been banished by St Senan.
