The Black Onyx clean artwork by Wes Adachi used on the cover of the NEC PC-88/PC-98, MSX, Fujitsu FM7, Sharp MZ, Sharp X1, and Sega SG-1000 releases in Japan. Image depicts a barbarian wielding a sword facing off against several enemies with some axes, some with swords and shields. The overall piece has a pink and purple tone to it.

Here's part 3 of @jfroholt.bsky.social 's look at one of the Knights compilation tapes for the Sharp MZ-80A. This particular part of his series looks only at the RPG "Wizard's Castle" and it seems it's a pretty decent early example of the genre.
