Pulled these trousers out of the wash. Favourite trousers no less! Full of holes. I'm thinking to repair them. Do some darning in a matching navy thread. Then to thicken the weak fabric shashiko all over the back. But can't decide what colour to use. Yellow or brown? 🪡 #sewing #mending #shashiko

Much deeper appreciation for the art of Japanese mending / #shashiko after trying it myself. So much harder than it looks to make a strong and functional patch that includes visible stitches.
