Haven't #ShatteredSun posted in a bit, but I'm making real progress on the draft (this time for real). I also found a perfect way to implement a fun idea I had scrapped because I couldn't figure it out! I've also decided on a set of three chapter naming schemes depending on the mood.

Complicated question for #ShatteredSun because there are multiple antagonists and who is an antagonist or protagonist shifts a fair bit.
That said, my main antagonist is perceived as an existential threat with entirely selfish motives. A monster that cannot be reasoned with.

The Council of the Cataclysm is made up of Champions who use their power to oppose Altai.
The deceased gods can still manipulate their Champions into doing what they want. They rely on their authority and lies to get what they want.

There's a lot of answers to this, but I think the most interesting one in #ShatteredSun is the broken state of reality itself. Fire can freeze in place, time can flow any way it wants to, even the title alludes to how broken reality is. After all, how would a ball of plasma be shattered?

For the book I am writing right now, #ShatteredSun, the main influence was Megaman ZX. While ZX is SciFi and part of a huge timeline, I wanted to do standalone fantasy with similar story elements and a new angle. Some characters were designed as tributes or analogs to some of ZX's cast.
Venus - From a series I have called Shattered Sun, nothing about it is out yet, it’s new.
Venus is “Friends” with Saturn, they just kiss sometimes. She’s considered pretty boring by all the other planets.
