I need to write posts like this about my city of Shawnee, KS, the 7th largest city in #Kansas.

In the past 2 city elections (2023 & 2025), Democrats flipped the city council from 7-1 GOP to 7-1 Dems by organizing, running excellent candidates and having a great ground game.

A brown UPS delivery truck stopped on a suburban road in the street where they’re supposed to stop. They are not blocking the bike lane thank goodness. Blocking the bike lane forces cyclist into the road and is dangerous and greatly increases the risk of a collision.

Thank you UPS truck driver for not blocking the bike lane!!!

Great results in #ShawneeKS tonight with 4 excellent candidates sweeping city council. In 2023, it was 7-1 with 1 progressive, and in 2026, it will be one lone conservative.

Had a great time at the 19th Annual Shawnee, KS Bike Rodeo hosted by Rotary.

Great chance to meet parents and kids who are excited about biking. Activities today: Helping kids get proper helmets, learning bike skills, and more.

One reason why #ShawneeKS has an extra tax for Pavement & Pipes is because we have so much single family housing, which does not bring in enough city tax revenue to cover the costs of all the pavement replacement and stormwater replacement over the decades of existence.
