Leaving Durrus, an old punt, a small boat, on the grass by the sea, repurposed and now filled with flowers and plants. Behind it the sea flanked by the Mizen and Sheep’s Head Peninsulas.
A lone tree atop a small cliff edges into the grey sea. Faint in the distance almost hidden in the grey sky, the Mizen Peninsula makes up the horizon.
Two black cows in a field. One in the foreground side on and looking our way, the other further into the field it’s head turned towards it front right leg. On it’s side is a white patch that resembles the shape of the African continent.
On a circular plinth stands a harp shape both of which form a Sun Dial next to sea. This is part of a memorial garden to those lost in the Air India flight bombing in 1985. You can read more on the tragedy here: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Air_India_Flight_182
