Leaving Durrus, an old punt, a small boat, on the grass by the sea, repurposed and now filled with flowers and plants.

Behind it the sea flanked by the Mizen and Sheep’s Head Peninsulas.

A lone tree atop a small cliff edges into the grey sea. Faint in the distance almost hidden in the grey sky, the Mizen Peninsula makes up the horizon.

Two black cows in a field.

One in the foreground side on and looking our way, the other further into the field it’s head turned towards it front right leg. On it’s side is a white patch that resembles the shape of the African continent.

On a circular plinth stands a harp shape both of which form a Sun Dial next to sea.

This is part of a memorial garden to those lost in the Air India flight bombing in 1985.

Close up of Inni-K at the mic with her violin and bow.

I was in two minds whether to camp on the Sheep’s Head peninsula along the coast. So I took my camping gear in case, but the weather was just meh and not worth the faff on this occasion.

Sometimes you just have to head home.

Inni-K at the mic looking towards us with her guitar. A backdrop by Bee hangs of to her left, a brooding cloud and ocean scene. Three little lamps illuminate a stone wall to her right.

Left of frame, Inni-K at the mic eyes closed playing her Roland keyboard. Over her left shoulder we see a standing guitar and a window. Inthe topright a small light on a stand. More of the backdrop by Bee hangs to her right, a brooding cloud and ocean scene.

Headed out of the parish on my bike to see Inni-K live at Arundels in Ahakista.

A nice 46km round trip to the Sheep’s Head Peninsula in the mizzle & totally worth it.
