I’ve done very little lace, but Janina Kallie’s Open Skies scarf was a joy to make #ShowUsYourKnits 🧶
Crocheted baby blanket in several bright colors with farm animal motifs.
#showusyourknits Animals - a baby blanket I made a while ago.
#ShowUsYourKnits is themed ANIMALS this week. I have no animal-patterned knits - but a few animals showing up in my photos:

My work in progress this week... made up the pattern while watching Death in Paradise #showusyourknits #knitsky
Red knit Melt the ICE cap on black table. Pattern proceeds go to help immigrants affected by the ICE raids.
Knit hat in the painted bricks design by Steven West. Bricks are colored in the pattern of the BIPOC and Trans flag with a black background and ribbing at the bottom.
This week's #ShowUsYourKnits is reds & pinks.
My red is Melt the I.C.E. cap, proceeds of the pattern to benefit immigrants affected by the brutal raids.
My pink is Painted Bricks cap by Steven West, bricks following the colors in the order of the BIPOC & Trans portions of the Progress Pride Flag.
For #showusyourknits Garter Stitch I have this old shawl that was one of the first things I made for myself. It is dollar store yarn and a pattern I made up as I went knowing nothing. Still, it is a go to garment for me to this day.
A heavily cabled knitted sleeve in progress, on size US8 dpns. The yarn is a rich brown color.
#lunchtimeknitting ! Some progress on sleeve one of the Viking sweater for my husband. I love a good cable. Yarn is a superwash worsted weight, Araucania Huasco. 🧶 #wip #showusyourknits #knitting #fiberart

Baby blanket (to order) in Liverpool colours. I’ve discovered that knitting in bright colours lifts the soul.
i like the green there. there are so many knitters on here and the hashtag #showusyourknits. i found 2 yarn stores in my area that have small classes very reasonable and WHY NOT?
I think WHY NOT is a good theme for a new year
Clue 2 is so “easy” in comparison to Clue 1. Thank goodness. I mean clue 1 took 8 weeks to complete and if continued at that rate it would take another 6 months to finish this monster!

A sweater knitter from multicoloured scraps. The colours create a rainbow effect.
That is absolutely gorgeous! Beautiful colours. This was my (not hand spun) accidental Pride/funfetti Seaglass. #SeaGlassSwester #ShowUsYourKnits
Bought some great wool and have been knitting gloves with it in grey, cream, black green and red. Lovely. #KnitSky #showusyourknits
does this qualify for #showusyourknits #knitsky ?
Boxy cardigan with teal background and stripes of slipped stitch dots in yellow, orange, pink, and aqua. Andrea Mowry pattern
Cardigan with teal background and slipped stitch dots in in a yarn that changes colors.
#showusyourknits #knitsky The indie dyer is Yarn Hero, and I bought the yarn at the Maryland Alpaca Festival, but I think this was all wool. Stipple DK and Colormix DK. Andrea Mowry pattern. The base yarn
A ball of pale-green, fluffy yarn and the first few rows of a raglan sweater knit from the neck down circular needles.
Here's my FLUFF piece. A barely-begun raglan made with repurposed angora/silk blend. At least, I think it's an angora/silk blend. I lost the tag from the sweater.

Happy November. Bright and cheerful daisy hats to cheer you up. #KnitSky #showusyourknits
Cozy classic Raglan, at the point of sleeve separation, in a soft lavender yarn. It sits next to a cup of coffee.
I rarely knit sweaters, but it’s been unseasonably cold in NC, so I’ve been working on a Cozy Classic Raglan in stash yarn by @theredpansy.com. 🧶 #knitsky #showusyourknits #garmentknitting
Against a white painted brick wall a navy blue beanie hat is shown on an antique Papier-mâché ‘wig head’. The hat is baggy and loose on the wig head which is smaller than my grandson’s noggin’. Stocking stitch with a wide 1x1 ribbing band that’s folded back. 8 ply wool from Bendigo Woollen Mills - my own pattern
Against a white painted brick wall and some fancy wire-work - a swirly, close fitting, hand knitted hat is shown on an antique Papier-mâché ‘wig head’. Stripes of dark teal Stocking Stitch - alternating with light blue and beige variegated in reverse Stocking Stitch - swirl up to the top of the hat. This one was based on a 1960s vintage pattern. It is close fitting and sits low - a brimless cloche. As this was a ‘chemo hat’ and my friend had super sensitive skin - I lined this one with silk fabric. You had see a slight indent about 1.5 cm from the lower edge where it is hemmed and the silk lining is stitched in place. 12ply merino wools from Morris & Sons - their ‘Empire’ if I remember correctly.
Against a white painted brick wall and some fancy wire-work - a hand knitted beret is shown on an antique Papier-mâché ‘wig head’. It is a generous beret with lots of colour work / fair isle. The base colour is a light grey then there are bands of designs in raspberry, orange and brown. The designs personalised this beret for my friend - there are tulips and bunny rabbits. Still generous but a bit smaller in diameter than the beret I made myself and showed today on Bluesky. Mine has a small pompom on top whereas this one has a tiny little loop. 4ply ‘Tweed’ wool from Ixchel fibres - my own pattern
Not the best photo as it was in low light ! A tan (light brown - the Aussie version of tan) jockey cap style, knitted hat is shown on an antique Papier-mâché ‘wig head’. It is on a wooden table against a window and we see some of my garden through the window - a creeper growing on a white painted brick wall. This hat was based on a late 1960’s vintage pattern. It has a close fitting crown and a peak at the front. The yarn is hand dyed with a mottled effect and I put gold sequins in swirling rows up the crown. The sequins are slightly convex and about 1.5cm - 5/8th an inch in diameter. I knitted them in but they would not sit straight - so I had to stitch them down - I also stiffened the peak with some sheet acetate cut to shape and put inside it. 8ply wool ‘Gaia’ from Ixchel fibres - it’s hand dyed. Pattern adapted from a vintage Patons one in a booklet titled ‘Mad Caps’ 😁
#showusyourknits this week’s theme is Hats. I’ve knitted so many!!! But here’s a quick selection from the last few years. A quick beanie in school uniform navy for grandson, a vintage style chemo hat for a friend, a fair isle beret and a be-spangled jockey cap for me. More in Alt Txt #handknit

Against a white painted brick wall and some fancy wire-work - a swirly, close fitting, hand knitted beret is shown on an antique Papier-mâché ‘wig head’. It is a generous beret with lots of colour work / fair isle. The base colour is a golden mustard then there are bands of designs in blue, purple, green and a little raspberry. The fair isle designs are mostly curves and swirls - whereas most fair isle designs are geometric. I was avoiding the pointy stars and blocky designs - deliberately choosing foliage, plump birdies, love hearts 💕… and this beret is to ‘go with’ a similarly colour worked jacket that I’ve yet to finish. I should mention that the beret has a small pom pom on top. 4ply ‘Tweed’ wool from Ixchel fibres - my own pattern

Went on a sock jag ~ 15 years ago and then moved on to other things, but got a pretty ball in a yarn swap so sock are now on the queue!
If the yarn works, I may redo this pattern because it was fun. It’s Tessellating Lace Socks on Ravelry but I did it toe-up.
Hand knitted baby jumper lying on a wooden table. Jumper is a crew neck, flat construction, in multicoloured yarn, with sage green cuffs and collar. Button placket across the shoulder to admit giant baby heads. Buttons blue and yellow.
Same jumper described in last image, but the back of it is face up.
Dropped this off to a pal's baby today.
I hope its proportions are actually less weird than they look here.
Had a bad few months of knitting... hope I'm back in the swing now.
