Hey devs, when I switch on "Share Reticulum Instance" in the Android Sideband App how would I access the service from other Apps? I can't find any documentation on that.

Geht doch 😀

Bildbeschreibung: Der fertig aufgebaute SN-T1.

Surface Duo intentionally attached to a random WiFi network.
Using my local breakfast joint's WiFi to test the adaptiveness of the Reticulum network.
So far it's pretty impressive.

3-node Sideband network.
Some other late-nite tinkering was getting a small Reticulum/Sideband network running on my phones and Steam Deck.
Next step: RNode.

Yesterday I found out that #Sideband the #ReticulumNetwork client in #Fdroid is actually outdated. The current one (from the github repository) looks like, it does not drain my phone's battery so quickly and has audio calls and push to talk messages. The network itself got really better after […]
A smartphone screenshot showing a dark-themed app or website with text about HFGCS (High Frequency Global Communications System) frequencies. At the top, the time is 11:07, and the battery is full and charging. The heading reads "List of HFGCS Frequencies," and there are bullet points listing: - Lajes Field, Azores - Offutt AFB, NE, USA - Beale AFB (West Coast Global), CA, USA Below, there is a paragraph discussing radio signal strengths in Westmoreland County, mentioning Andrews (MD), Offutt (NE), Croughton (UK), and Lajes (Azores). It explains that strong signals at night are usually from Andrews or Offutt, and that summer conditions might allow signals from the UK or Azores. The next paragraph explains that hearing "practice every five minutes" is likely test counts or network checks, not necessarily an E-4B aircraft. It gives an example of a test count: “This is Mainsail... testing 1-2-3-4-5, 5-4-3-2-1...” and says these are to verify transmitters are synced. It mentions E-4B "Nightwatch" flights use HFGCS but says there’s no evidence that recent activity was tied to an airborne Doomsday plane. The last public E-4B movements were on June 22 and weren’t correlated with mass EAM tests. At the bottom, there is a partially visible section labeled "Message Copilot" with a button labeled "Think Deeper."
When you monitor HFGCS, what frequency do you usually use? I hang out on 4724.

Wooden tabletop with visible scratches and marks, providing a worn look. On the left edge, a partially visible white cup with bold black text. but it is partially obscured. Behind the cup, a clear plastic bag containing a dark, possibly black, object—maybe headphones or a cable—resting against the wall. A translucent amber-colored object, possibly a bottle or container, is partially visible on the far left. A white electrical outlet or power strip is visible behind a radio, with a beige plug inserted. The main object is a large, rugged-looking radio receiver with a metallic and plastic build, mostly black and gray with red accents. The upper part of the radio features a large digital display, showing "8891.0" in large numbers, with "MHz" in the upper right corner. The display also shows smaller text, but it is not fully visible in this image. Below the display, a row of rectangular buttons labeled (from left to right): "SOL", "RADIO BAND", "SUB BAND", "UHF VHF", "BW DEMO", "SEL", "AUTO", "MODE". To the right of the display, there are three rectangular buttons labeled "TIME/SET", "ALARM", and "DISPLAY". Below those, a large circular tuning knob with a red ring around it. The knob has a black triangular arrow in the center pointing up. Around the knob, there are small white labels: "SCAN ATS" at the top, "DEL" and "OK" to the left, "RESET" to the right. Below the tuning knob, a numeric keypad with black buttons and white numbers/letters. The buttons are arranged in a 3x4 grid. The top row: "7", "8", "9", "TUNE NEXT" (with a right arrow). Second row: "4", "5", "6", "TUNE PREV" (with a left arrow). Third row: "1", "2", "3", "VOL+" (volume up). Bottom row: "EN", "0", "REC", "EQ", "VOL-" (volume down). To the left of the keypad, a large circular speaker grille. The grille has a decorative design: a red center with six black holes, surrounded by a ring of small black vertical slits, then a ring of twelve black mesh sections shaped like petals or wedges, separated by raised black dividers. The radio has several screws visible on the front panel.
yesterday, a friend of mine called me a nerd because I was talking about radios with SSB, single sideband which is such a thing by the way.
Some people watch movies in heat waves, I do this. lol.

A close-up view of the face of a pinkish-red snail. Its two large eye-stalks are tilted towards the camera, and its two face tentacles descend towards the gravel it is travelling across. The photo is so close that most of the shell is out of frame.
One of my favourite snail shots; this is Monadenia fidelis, the Pacific sideband, I think the largest local land snail we have.
