It sounds SO simple, but people struggle so much with it like you wouldn’t believe! That’s because they are thinking drawing is a 2D activity, in a flat surface, and its purpose is to puzzle in the elements into the page. Well, that’s part of it. But if you want to add depth you have to think in 3D. Look around you. Things overlap everywhere! Make the limbs of your character overlap and you’ll instantly make characters more dynamic.
