Hi~ My names Harper. I'm an actual demilich femboy and I study the dark arts while trying to cure my own skele body of it's evil curses.
the final drawing, day 31, aftermath (notated with an X border and a happy "belated" halloween with 2 exclamation points). scorch in a blue cropped tanktop, black shorts, and dark leather paw guards is supporting orchid while slowly trying to walk. orchid has one arm over scorch's shoulders, limping along in his classic blue hoodie with magenta-grizzled black fur lining, grey turtleneck, blue-grey pants, and black boots, and he looks at the worried scorch almost apologetically with blood dripping from his mouth. both look pretty beat up, not too badly but still concerningly, implying they've been through some unwanted scuffle.
the alternative route, with the two in costumes from last year (orchid is an angel with the magenta collar fluff, scorch is a devil with a red horn headband and a demon tail taped to his own). orchid is sitting on a concrete ledge, actually passing out candy, while scorch very proudly holds a bag and two bars of abandoned candy from his successful scares. they're very happy, for once.

scorch as a semi-modern slasher villain for day 28, with a back right 1/4 view. he carries 2 bloodstained axes, dons a purple cropped tanktop over a bloody white t-shirt and grey shorts, and he wears a pale reddish mask with 3 vertical oval slits where each eye should be. even without the face, it can be felt he has little remorse or general emotion about any of this.
day 29 is bones, with another long-awaited cameo from orchid. said skeleton is pinned on the ground by one of scorch's paws, which he's trying to keep from pressing too hard into his chest by grasping; he's wearing a green crop top and black pants with shiny black boots, and is crying and terrified as he looks up at scorch. aforementioned bug is glaring darkly at the skele, but is clearly not himself. donned with a yellow tanktop, black shorts, his magic reddish sword, a metal collar with a little light on it, and holding one of orchid's ribs, this is not scorch. the scientists got him. purple text in the background says "PLEASE SCORCH HONEY NO PLEASE IT-IT'S ME MY INFERNO PLEASE WHAT ARE YOU DOING I KNOW YOU'RE STILL YOU SOMEWHERE IN THERE PLEASE" but, in front of that in red glitchy text, all the bug says is "THE FIRST WEAPON MUST BE KILLED."
day 30, sharp objects, is very casual in comparison to the rest. scorch (i think werewolf flavor) is sat cross-legged on the ground against a dark green background, his head circled by a pale rainbow pattern of sharpened bones, pulled teeth, and dismembered claws. he's draped in a lighter green cloak which, being an alternate version, lets the long and thin spikes on his back poke through. there's a red spiked flail under his tail, a red knife balancing tip-down on his finger, and a sharp purple pendulum hanging from the blade-tip of a red scythe behind him.

day 24, asphyxiation, is also primarily marker. scorch, outlined but not colored in, is kneeling in front view with a purple-ish pillow held tightly up to his face. the background is a purple gradient, and black/red-to-purple text above the bug reads "it still smells like HIM." with "him" being emphasized and underlined.
day 25, skinned, is a top view drawing of what scorch would look like were his cat form turned into a peddler's pelt - even the #25 is drawn to resemble a leather tag. inspired by my then-recent visit to the ren faire.
a side internal view of scorch for day 26, cross-section. he's just a black silhouette for the most part. the internals colored in grey are his pelvic/leg, wing, and spinal bones, along with the lungs and the digestive tract. outlined in magenta are his brain (with blue stripes), his heart (blue question marks), and his stomach (one blue x). someone offscreen has their hand and a pointer stick in view while they talk, literally all that can be understood is "and here you can see the" before they drabble on.

a Scorch silhouette comprised of mostly pencil for day 3, exposed brains. it seems to be very dark in the environment, with Scorch being no more than a vague shape. however, his upper teeth and right eye are clearly visible, as is the exposed grey matter where his left horn used to be - almost like someone tore it off, like breaking apart a cooked crustacean. run.
a (mostly) monochrome and thickly lined drawing of Scorchid for day 4, patched up. scorch, red, sits slumped over and looking at the ground almost guiltily while Orchid, purple, bandages his left eye from out of frame (only his hands are visible). Scorch weakly tries to stutter out, "I'm- I'm sor-" but his apology is cut off by a gentle yet firm hush from Orchid. || lore time - back during the quarantine roleplays, the origins of scorchid, there was a very short arc where Scorch clawed his eye real bad in attempt to get attention from an incredibly depressed and apathetic Orchid. at the time, he was honestly pretty out of it 24/7 now that I'm glimpsing over the threads again, and he was not thinking clearly enough to avoid this. it's still both a huge regret and a dreaded impulse today.

an artfight card for team fossils of 2025. in the artist's circle is a fox-bug looking very goofily at the viewer and blepping, with the username being "voidborne-px". i attack mainly anthro/nonhumans and will do friendly fire, maybe some revenge, but it's mostly a bookmarks queue of 64. our featured characters are scorch, tobi, heron, filly, and astro. the characters i have are primarily feral/anthro and monsters, no humans here really. there's also a tiny little "eeh" in the far corner of the "other" box.

THORNS - Orchid sits in a ring of thorns, curled up and crying. His cracked purple soul is in a smaller ring of barbed wire, the larger ring is filling up with his blue tears, and Silver (a metallic robotic eagle) sits on top, looking at Scorch. The cat-bug in question is sitting in a similar position to Orchid, but is turned to look at the skeleton in a seemingly worried way. His red heart is next to him with a white question mark in the middle - he wonders, with the silence and unwillingness to discuss any of the personal pains, if Orchid really, truly does love him...
ROADKILL - a running joke between Orchid's narrator and I thanks to Gartic Phone, but anyways. A worm's eye shot of Scorch lying on the road in the dark, bloody, very scruffy, and with his back to the viewer; some blood is smeared across the road. A blue car with its headlights on is heading towards the poor little victim, with a purple silhouette inside looking a little too similar to Orchid. Scorch is little more than one of those common does on the side of the road, though whether he's dying or already dead is impossible to tell without his eyes in view.

RABID - Scorch looks fucking insane, grabbing Orchid's scarf and - based on frothy bite marks on the skeleton's neck - is pulling away from a rabid bite, his mouth foaming. Orchid grits his teeth with watering eyes, the upper half of his face scribbled out. His hands hover around Scorch, as if he wants to do something about this and/or he's falling backwards. The only colors are his yellow scarf and Scorch's pink saliva (or is it blood?), which is also left behind at the bite wound.
SACRIFICE - Scorch stands behind Orchid with 3 red, drippy eyes, a knife at the kneeling skeleton's throat; Orchid's eyes are scribbled out in this picture as well. He doesn't seem to be fighting back at all, a limp-winged sacrifice accepting his fate. His scarf lies next to him in a neat coil (it kinda looks like a shit ngl).
CANDY GORE - Scorch side-eyes the viewer and sticks his tongue out playfully. His tail contains scarlet liquid instead of a red tip, his organs are spilling out, the inside of his thigh reveals the bone and bright flesh, and his heart is visibly with 3 cords emanating from it, one of which is wrapped around his finger.

Orchid sits leaning to the side and propping himself up with one arm. Scorch is leaning against his chest, the bug's arms wrapped around himself; he has heavy eyebags and his eyes are closed. Near-empty bottles just out of frame imply that Scorch was drinking and is now hung over. Orchid has one eye open halfway and is looking down at Scorch, a speech bubble with a cup of water and a question mark suggesting that he's asking Scorch if he's had any water recently. Scorch responds with a "..." and then a very tiny "x", implying a hesitant "no" from the bug.

Scorch's cat-form head on a wall mount like a deer, but he has extra horns. He seems to be stuck permanently in a ferocious growl, mouth open, while magenta liquid - blood? - flows from his mouth and behind his neck. There's a large arrow going through his neck, the tip being grey and also blood-dripping, and the back end being half black with a magenta heart, and half white with a dark red heart.
A bright reddish-magenta ??? cracked heart with reddish fluid and various purple fungi growing out of it. There's a millipede crawling on it for good measure.
Scorch stands with his neck and tail ignited and wearing his classic cloak, glaring daggers down at Orchid, seeming to almost just not recognize him. The skele seems to have been knocked back by something, his clothes (and bones) are on fire in various places, and he's looking back up at Scorch, crying.
