Out of all the live albums issued in the 70s, I love Slade Alive, released in March 1972. I particularly love the inside cover, which was drawn by the winner of a competition that had been run in a national newspaper. It has nothing to do with the record but it's a great piece of art. #SladeAlive

Slade Alive is a fantastic album. I particularly love the inside cover. Chas Chandler decided to run an art competition, run in The Sun newspaper and the band chose the winner from thousands of entries. It has nothing to do with the record but it's a truly great piece of art. #SladeAlive
