People might overlook that the person on the horse is modern. He is wearing timberlands. The painting feels like a piece from the Renaissance period with the patterned background. I believe these details matter because they juxtapose histories told and untold.

The detail that caught my attention in Wiley's painting is the Person's uniform. It's more modern, 21st-century than Jacques' epic style. He wears military-style camouflage pants and sports gloves, which probably has a deeper meaning that may represent something from that day.
