We hosted Riverfly monitors from across the #Colne, #Lea and #SouthChilterns catchments.
We heard several talks/updates from @Riverflies, @TrentUni PhD researcher Rob Collier, @AffinityWater, @thameswater and Hannah also discussed our Chess #SmarterWaterCatchment #citsci work.
Last week, we treated our #SmarterWaterCatchment #CitizenScientists to a Smartphone Safari session run by @JetBlackSquares in Rickmansworth.
A chance for volunteers to improve photography skills for better species identification images, event/macro photography... also very fun!
Our NOSES #CitizenScience report is now online!
Between March and May 2023, we mapped #phosphate levels in the mid-lower @RiverChess as part of our #SmarterWaterCatchment initiative at 85 sampling sites with over 50 volunteers.

We’ve been busy installing water quality monitoring equipment on the @riverchess today. We now have a complete network of sensors to help identify WQ issues throughout the catchment and monitor the impact of improvements made through the #smarterwatercatchment initiative
