Shirt images on, French side seams sewn and...the top layer is NOT going to be cropped.
LOVE the way the light hits the silver images, changing as the garment moves. Makes the birds seem as if they are flying.

New project started - 'Damn Birds'. Hand cut a sample silhouette to check scale and nailed it on the first attempt.

As I sew pretty petals across the hem of my latest creative, I think about those who create bridal and formal wear. Intricate decorations are sewn to satin, silk and other fine fabrics; each motif carefully trimmed and blind stitched to the garments by hand.

Another headed to the table: Palisade pants on a l/w canvas weave floral perfect for hot weather. To date - it ranks in my top three pants patterns.

We're ready to sew. The design portion of this garment is complete.
I picture the top with white cargos, leggings or slim jeans. If I jumped to it, there's a leopard print sitting near the Crash Test Dummy which would look smashing, too...🤔

Today's "me made" outfit is an Anytime T from Open Studio. Made from a remnant and worn with simple black leggings, the shoulder seam wraps to the front on this boxy style.

Bobble or bauble?! Signature 'made by love' heart needs a different spot and likely a fun bauble will land on the little wrinkle.
Lower facings - no way side/center tacks will do so thinking small rivets. Embroidery scratched due to visual crop style.

'Teddy' is looking very top-like after I replaced the neckline facings, hand stitching the difficult bits. Next up, arm bands and bottom facings.

'Calvin meets Cotton' went up on the crash test dummy for stand alone photos at the crack well before dawn then headed towards the wash.
Now a fan of this Vintage Vogue '92 with Calvin Klein's clean lines. I see endless creative potential for future ventures.
