Sitting on our deck eating lunch, listening to the chatter of 3 or more #Swift #Parrots moving through some older eucalypts. Would catch sight of them every now & then, only for them to dash off to the next bit of foliage. They’re too damn fast!

Wondering what triggered 1 of the security lights, and expecting it to be shrubs moving in this increasing wind, I walk to the kitchen window to peer out. A very straight line of four pademelons (chubby little wallabies with grey/brown fur), all head down and each eating from separate small piles of pelleted feed.

They know the drill!

Still putting out wallaby pellets, until we get better grass growth. Up to 24 #Tasmanian pademelons turn up each evening, and these small, distance-separated piles reduce the competition & allow even the old & frail to get a bite to eat. #WildOz #Marsupials #SoTas

A screen shot of an email alert from Facebook, about a log-on they’re saying was from near Kingston, Norfolk Island.

I guess Facebook would indeed label it sus, being that they’ve got the location so badly wrong. Yes, there’s many places named Kingston besides #SoTas but I can’t say I’ve ever before seen it mixed up with the one in Norfolk Island! Only 2400km out.

Anyone else in #SoTas or #Hobart getting intermittent power? Are there storms about?

Don’t stress, it’s thick wintery fog today where I am, down past #Hobart in #SoTas with no sign of the Summer that starts in less than a week.

Since #SoHo is taken, #SoTas is a great runner-up.
