Mount Miñiques and Lake Miscanti, in the foreground, receive the last sunlight of the day. This is a high altitude place, at 4200 meters above sea level, and the vegetation is scarce. Only "ichu" grass appears in the image, in a yellow color. The part of the lake that is visible reflects the sky and the orange of the mountain in the background. The mountain has a little snow near the summit. No people or buildings are seen in the photo, as this is a very remote place in the Andes.
