Zeitgeist and other Fediverse LLMs Last week Laurie Voss announced that he’d released a new Mastodon client called Zeitgeist.blue, “a multi-social-network app that summarizes your feed for the last 24 hours.” As a Mastodon client, it appears to authenticate a given user with an existing instance (including social.coop, potentially) and, using Anthropic or GitHub Copilot, processes timelines for the purposes of summarizing one’s timelines using a large language model (LLM).Many replies to the announcement were critical of the project and took issue with the lack of consent and being subjected to AI surveillance. Voss was dismissive of those concerns, referring to people complaining about the lack of consent mechanisms as “tedious bastards,” and began blocking people replying in the thread.Voss was informed of an existing precedent for people to tag their bios in order to opt-out and subsequently added an opt-out for people who do not want their posts indexed. Initially Zeitgeist indexed everything, including DMs and follower-only posts, but now DMs are filtered out. Meet.coop update October 2025 Hi folks, update from me. I got a bit stuck because I haven’t been given access to the sso.meet.coop “master” realm so I can’t access any of the Keycloak admin settings. This is true even from the command line, see: Keycloak: How to add a new User - Mastertheboss I have securely handed over the SSO credentials to ColloCall that were being used on the de.meet.coop server and switched over the domain to point at the ColloCall server. Now we just need ColloCall to spin up the new server. Hopefull...

#socialcoop So our Meet.Coop instance has been down for 3+ weeks, and from what I see on forum.meet.coop/t/meet-coop-update-octob... it's not clear when it will work, if ever.

Does the prohibition against transphobia cover respectful critique of the ideas of the transgender movement or is it just about actual hateful speech?

I'm interested in how #SocialCoop's rules and CoC came about.
Were they voted on? Are they continually re-evaluated based on community input? Were they set by the founder(s) (@ntnsndr?) in stone, like a written constitution?
