Screenshot of the solar power output (DC system) from 4AM until the present. Earlier morning readings are all over the place with intermittent cloud cover, but otherwise peaking at ~480W (typical maximum). The latest readings show the output teetering on the 500W, with some measurements being slightly over.

Four boards all assembled, mounted on small perspex boards for final attachment to the rack: - Top: Raspberry Pi Pico with a hand-carved copper clad fibreglass board fitted with a 4-way KK connector and two 2.2k pull-up resistors. It connects to the left-side of the Pico, with a single wire connecting up to the 3.3V rail on the pico. - Bottom: 3 INA-219 featherwings, all modded and with addressing links set… on the perspex boards, the I²C address of each module is written: 0x40, 0x41, 0x44.
Got the boards modified and ready to be wired up. One gripe I'll make with the INA-219 boards that Adafruit make is they neglected to provide a terminal for the 0V to connect to the battery negative supply: they assume the microcontroller's […]

Plot of the battery voltage over the last week. The system has alternated from running on batteries for 36 hours, charging back to full over 8 hours, then repeating the cycle.
One week on the new LiFePO₄ batteries… we're now considering upgrading the solar panels.
At the moment it's 5×120W or 600W peak capacity. If we go for 200W or 350W panels, we can possibly extract a bit more current for a longer period of the day […]
