I am having a bad body and bad brain day and one of the songs on my current playlist is Winter Flower by Younha and features Kim Namjoon. I speak of this song a lot (see linked post) but when a song is etched in your soul, you want to talk about it.

I'm writing today and that means I'm sprinkling some a Jackson Wang into the background music. I love Got7 and I adore Jackson. His solo work, and his obsession with Namjoon, brought me to Got7 actually.

100 Ways is a good song, but my god the MV is just exquisite.

Shit, I forgot my #SongsToKnowMe tag. Anyway yes, the MV Is full of beautiful visuals that often include abs, and a bit of a storyline. The editor did a good job with framing imo.

It's been two months since I've done a #SongsToKnowMe post. I've been deep in the 90s lately and Sarah McLachlan is one of the tentpoles of my 90s self.

Witness from the 1997 album Surfacing is to me a song of questions. And I am nothing if not full of questions and doubts.

It's June so a lot of my #SongsToKnowMe are going to be BTS. And todays's is a hidden track off their album Love Yourself: Her. Sea is only in the physical album and not on streaming platforms. Fans have uploaded it to YT, and RM played a version of it during a live in 2017.

I'm on a ZZ Ward kick and HOME is exactly how I feel about Mr L. He gets me in ways no one else can. He loves me and respects me and when I need, he takes care of me. He lets me do the same for him. And honestly, we don't match on paper but we work.

Peter Gabriel has been in my life ever since I heard . I love Solsbury Hill so much. There's a hope to it and a quirkiness that rests deep in my soul. This song has signs and anxiety and surety and struggle and endurance. It's a perfect 70s song.

Namjoon has a way with lyrics that make me feel seen. He writes in this accessibly beautiful. Lonely speaks to the part of me that's tired of feeling trapped, that longs to just be where I belong, even when I don't know where that is.

I'm deep in my feels and Minho's Heartbreak just hits right atm. Minho is my sweet menace from SHINee and his love of R&B shines through most of his solo work. Heartbreak is full of atmosphere and pain and resignation and longing. Minho just gets me, okay.

Given what's going on in SK right now I thought I would share one of my fave BTS songs - Am I Wrong. This song is said to speak out corruption of then SK president Park Geun-hy. As with all BTS songs there are layers though and the song is also self reflective.

#SongsToKnowMe brings us to Enhypen and their debut single Given-Taken. The group tapped into something in me. "Between the giving and the taking it's time for my proving." The exploration of the tension between receiving and relinquishing is beautiful. The vampire themes don't hurt either.
