A fancomics with Sora, Riku and Kairi from Kingdom Hearts. Page 01 We are in the Destiny Islands, during the day, clear sky. First panel: Riku, Sora and Kairi are standing in front of something. Riku looks doubtful while saying "so...is that it?" Sora looks amazed. Kairi with a smile answer Riku's question "yep!" Second panel: We have a Long Shot where we can finally see what the three of them are watching. An enormous mansion, completely in ruin, the ivy was running all over the entrance. Sora is finally expressing his astonishment with words "It's huge!". "It's a mess!" Says Riku less amazed of his partner. "Dad told me it was abandoned years ago, that's why it's all in ruins!" Explain Kairi. Third panel: Kairi with her fist clenched try to motivate them "But no worries! Together we'll make it good as new, right?!". Sora optimistic as always reply with another fist clenched and an energic "Right!". Riku instead looks unconvinced "yeah...right!" Says in the end. Fourth panel: Sora irritated start to push Riku "Stop. Being. So pessimistic!" He grunts and pants for the effort since Riku resists and weighs on him "I'm just realistic" he amswer back. Kairi giggles and follows them. Fifth panel: we see the corner of what it seems a door opening. Some dirt fall down. Sixth panel: The door of the entrance is slightly open. Kairi, Sora and Riku are sticking their head inside the mansion to see the interior. Some dirt is floating around and two mice are running toward the place.
Page 02 First Panel: The door is now wide open. The three kids are still on the stipes but now the sunlight illuminate the first room of the house. Some furniture are visibly ruined and the wood is crackling and some glass from the windows are on the floor. Some mice are are running through the room. Second Panel: We see Kairi embarrassed “okaaayyyy… maybe it’s worse than I thought.”. Sora right behind her, he’s scratching his head starting to doubt “can we really fix all of this up?” He says. Riku is still at the door watching them. Third Panel: Riku smile slightly amused “What?! Giving up already?!” Fourth Panel: Riku offscreen is trying to motivate them “C’mon! If we really want to fix this place up, it’s better get started!” While hearing his words, we see Sora and Kairi looking and smiling at each other. Fifth Panel: Kairi and Sora joyfully raise their arms, with renew motivation they both shout “LET’S RENOVATE!” Sixth Panel: We see the rooftop of the house, in the balloons we can read a banter between them. Riku: “Keep your energy for when we’re going to take all the furniture out.” Kairi: “Yes, sir!” Sora: “Wait, what?! I thought you’d do all the hard work!” Riku:”Not a chance!” Seventh/Eighth Panel: The sun is setting down, Riku is coming down the stairs of the entrance with a box full of old stuff from inside the house.
Page 03 First Panel: Riku is putting the box on the grass outdoor. Second Panel: The boy is sweating for all the work done, and he wipe his chin. “That was the last one!” He says. Behind him Kairi is waving her hand “I’m back!” in her other hand she has a plastic bag. Third Panel: Kairi raise the bag for show it to Riku “I bought some drinks!” “Good!”. Noticing someone is missing Kairi ask about Sora. Fourth Panel: Riku looks behind him and with his thumb pointing behind the house. “He said he wanted to take a look of the view out back… probably he’s just somewhere slacking off.” He explain with a smile on his face. Kairi giggles. Fifth panel: We now see Riku and Kairi standing in front of the entrance of the house, giving us their back. “So… our home… sound crazy right?!” She gently points out “You said it!” He reply “You think everything will be fine?” She ask in the end. Sixth Panel: Riku looks at her “Have some doubts?” Kairi, shadowed from the sunset light behind her, looks melancholy and preoccupied “Only my usual fear for the future, I guess…” Seventh Panel: We now see her back, she’s looking at their new home, Riku is beside her. “If only… we could have some kind of sign, something that could tell us we’re moving in the right direction.” She starts pray. Eighth Panel: “WOAH, RIKU! KAIRI! COME HERE, QUICKLY!” Sora’s shouting makes the two of them turn towards the direction of his voice. “Sora?!”
Page 04 First Panel: Sora turn towards his friends who are coming to see what’s happening. “Sora!” Call Riku “What’s wrong?” Kairi ask. “I found something!” He explain. Second Panel: Sora excited points his finger in front of him. “Look! Over there!” Riku and Kairi follow him with their gaze. Third Panel: Something similar to a little palm tree is coming out from the ground. Riku and Kairi immediately recognize the plant. “Is that…” Riku starts “…a young paopu tree?!” Kairi ends. “Yeah! Isn’t it amazing?” Exclaims Sora enthusiastic. “It’s incredible!” confirm the girl. Fourth Panel: Riku smile at Kairi while squeezing the shoulders of both of his partners “Well, looks like we have our sign.” Says. Kairi looks surprised, while Sora is confused. Fifth Panel: Kairi is smiling, now more relaxed about the future. We can read Sora offscreen, completely lost “Uh?! What are you talking about?” “We’ll tell you later.” Riku reassure him. Sixth Panel: Kairi takes out of the bag some cans and give them to Sora and Riku “Hey, let’s make a toast, shall we?” Says to the boys. “Good idea!” “Sure!” Agree Riku and Sora while taking their drinks. Seventh Panel: We see the three kids raising and hitting each other cans while shouting “CHEERS” Eighth and Last Panel: The three of them are standing around the young paopu tree, arms raised, cans in hands. They toast for their future. “To our home, to our new journey together!”
