Who lives at Spamhaus and what's there beef with my server? Is it even possible to have beef with spam, isn't it primarily a pork product?
Reading their site... a whole lot of stuff about email, except I don't use my server for email at all. So why they spamming my spammy spam with spam […]
We're at the point culturally where we have to accept that, much like #uce / #spam, #AISlop will remain widespread.
How might we have a scoring system ala #spamhaus implemented by a trusted third party/nonprofit to recognize sites that've succumbed to #enshittification via #llm / #generativeAI […]
tfw you can't get the verification code sent by your health insurance company to your email because the IP address it's coming from is listed in Spamhaus AND the email they're sending violates their enforcing DMARC policy. *sigh*

More companies (and individuals, class-action) need to come forward against #Spamhaus with cases like this. #Spamhaus lost the case, but sadly the court struck down the award of ~$11.7 million in damages as improper.

Quote: […] #SpamHaus is a racket organized by the giant mail providers like Google, Microsoft, etc. against independent mail server owners. The vast majority of all spam coming my way is from these giants, but I have never heard that SpamHaus would do anything against THEM.

As for #Spamhaus, they are (still) an incompetent and corrupt organization that has the power to shut your domain down in the blink of an eye, without due process. Its support is either to a high degree mentally challenged or intentionally hostile and unhelpful.

A recent incident involving a false-positive on a project domain from everyone's favorite tax-haven-based internet bully #Spamhaus has pushed me to create a backup for my site: xn--gckvb8fzb.cc
If anything should ever happen to the .com, the .cc will take its place. Until then it's a 302 redirect.
If @spamhaus incorrectly marks a mail server as a spammer, then the process is clear.
But what do you do if the mail server is incorrectly marked as an "open resolver" and you therefore cannot query DNSBLs? 😂
😶🌫️
I just had this case with a customer.

I dont like #blocklists very much. my personal experience with #Spamhaus tells me that its a bad idea to give one central party so much power as they are bound to abuse it. and my logic applies to BS blocklists as well. But i kinda wanna make some of my own.
**Spamhaus’ take on Cold Emailing…AKA spam**
"In this article we define cold emailing from our perspective, share concerns about its misuse, particularly in B2B communication, and highlight the organizations enabling it."
Sending an actual, personal, 1-to-1 cold email? That's one thing. But if […]
Well that was an 'interesting' weekend learning about all the gatekeepers controlling whether I can run a simple newsletter server myself. Probably doesn't help that my ISP isn't keen on homeservers.
According to #Spamhaus my domain is in an 'internet neighbourhood' (?!?!) with 'poor […]
Finally gave in and wrote some Postfix rules to route SMTP traffic for *.outlook.com hosted domains (basically any school or government I email) through IPv4 instead of IPv6 to stop being blocked by Spamhaus false positives on "my" shared v6/64. #IPv6 #SpamHaus #Postfix
Abuse report: Dot .top is a top TLD, says Spamhaus domaingang.com/domain-news/... #Spamhaus #Domains #TLDs #top
Hmm #Spamhaus lehnt jede Mail von egal wem ab, interessant
Ugh, someone on my mail server's *shared* IPv6 /64 is misbehaving again and getting me listed in #SpamHaus by association. Might need to pick up shop from #Dreamhost finally. I keep putting it off because its fixed price cheap and moving is a hassle but so is a hosting config where you can't […]
