You broke, not only so that the light can shine in through the cracks… but so that your light can shine out. Because that is exactly what you are. What you have the potential to be. A light in the darkness. Yes. Some days, your light will feel like little more than the flicker of a dying candle, burnt to its quick. But even a flicker is a flicker of light, beloved. Nurture it. Other days, your light will be a raging inferno, a flame ready to set the world ablaze. Express your fury, but guide your flame. Let it burn out on the fire breaks. And then there will be days when you can stand tall; stand brave. Days when the tremor in your voice isn't one of fear. It's of conviction and determination. On those days, you will be a lighthouse, showing fellow weary travellers the way home. The way to heal. The way to unbreak their own hearts.
You are not "broken". Cracked? Yes. Fractured? Perhaps. But broken? No, beloved. You are the light, the fire and the flame—should you choose to be. And every crack will only make your light shine brighter, and guide others' light in. Every crack will only make your light shine brighter. And one day… the world will be blinded by your light and by your flame… by your love and by your heart. You are not "broken", beloved. You never were. You were becoming the light and the flame.
