#SporeSinLore some information on the colorless spore beings

12 2 1 0

A bit of lore on this one, his kind is *believed* to be extinct but not proven, once hunted to be pets. Fiáin fled the forest he came from to survive and hasnt seen his kind in a while, but came across the spore beings, slowly trying to work into their circle to avoid loneliness

Reference sheet(ish) of my bonded spore being (caelir) and human (elryn)

Left side shows a casual drawing of caelir walking, emitting his spores through his neck and ear gills, his skin is shimmering.

Top right is a drawing of both Caelir (bare) and Elryn (clothed in a brown casual button up dress) sitting on the floor, caelir is in spore bloom(basically in heat), his forehead resting on elryns shoulder while grabbing her arm out if desperation as she massages and spreads his overworked rib gills, Caelir saying “Elryn- HN!- dont stop..” as he shakes and pants from pleasure. his skin is shimmering, elryns skin is also shimmering but barely visible. She is blushing and shyly looking away, avoiding looking at his erection that has precum.
Small note next to Elryn saying that she avoids looking down even tho they are bonded.

Bottom right has vague information on the two:
Caelir: going into peak maturity, 7’8”, bonded to elryn
Elryn: early 40’s, 5’4”, widow (late husband died to spore disease), happily bonded to caelir

To the right of the text is a small sketch of their height comparison, Elryn is standing with her hands clasped in from of her while blushing. Caelir is causally standing tall

Ref(ish) sheet of Caelir and Elryn, when bonded, sporemates skins shimmer with spores. Spore beings shimmer brighter and constantly, humans shimmer faintly and only when around their bonded one.

Ok, my idea on height for the spore beings is this, mature beings can be from 5’4” (164.5cm) to 8’5” (259cm)

In rare cases, spore beings can go beyond that.
max height for males: 12ft (365.7cm)
Max height for females: 13.5ft (411.4cm)

This is all a maybe, id love some feedback

I think the reason why spore beings are seen more as animals than, intelligent beings is because, they are seen as something that is driven by instinct and not taught. But that is not true. One that is raised in captivity wouldn't know about building nests or bonding or that they communicate non-verbally to preserve energy, etc. They do release spores, but that is the same as coughing or sighing, basically. And humans also have instincts to learn to talk, to learn to walk, crawl, sit, all that. Spore beings are not taught by their parents, but by spores and the soil. And since that is not something that humans can understand as a language, they are seen as just instinct.

Are spore beings intelligent beings or in the animal category? Humans see them more as animals.
