Felt bowl attached to the side of the wooden tapestry frame by two loops. It looks a little like a mug. There is an orange dragon felted on to it with yellow wings. The dragon is in silly medieval doodle style and looks uncertain
The back of the same felt mug thing. A smug rabbit plays some sort of trumpet.
I have upgraded my sprang loom, and made use of the dragon I liked from the 1410 book of hours but did not want to wear on my poncho.
The bands are for putting dowels in at different levels for different sizes of fabric creation…

More sprang! The craft that’s fun to say.
I made a teeny tiny hat, and two samples. I’m going to make a load of panels in different patterns and stitches for practice and crochet them together. Then, depending on the size I might make a cushion cover or something…

Sprang in progress. Variegated threads in golds whites and greens are tensioned on a frame and four or five rows of twists have been made at the top, kept in place by a metal knitting needle.

3. You can experiment and get nice twists and shapes
4. My weird add colour/new yarn method worked

Timeline cleanser: my first attempt at a #sprang bag. Sprang is a type of weftless finger weaving that appeared around 1500BCE or so. The work is not lovely, but it will hold this tiny version of the Giant Rat of Sumatra.*

If you do try #sprang, I recommend the tutorial by @sallypointer.bsky.social where she gets you to alternate colours in the warp. It makes it so much easier to see the structure & not get in a tangle the first time.
