Mouse really enjoyed her little sojourn in Bristol and has much more to share, but for now the #MouseFavouritePhoto for the week is from #StJamesBristol and this curiously orderly garden
That vibrant blue is so unusual for churches. Of the hundreds if not thousands Mouse has visited she can't off the top of her head think of one other than #StJamesBristol. Lovely Romanesque doorway though🐭
The #StJamesBristol tower is unusual, located as it is to the south east. A C14 base rebuilt mid-C15 alongside other changes to the church. This tiny Early English pointed moulded doorway to the east plays host to a rather less in your face door than the south #AdoorableThursday
Unusually Mouse spoiled for gate and overthrow choice at #StJamesBristol. As if the bold blue of those doors needed further highlighting

The C15 south aisle of #StJamesBristol with its fine Perpendicular cusped panel windows, neat little garden and fence. The blue door is... shall we say... a bold choice #IronworkThursday #AdoorableThursday
A quick tour of #BristolChurches: St. James Priory is unique as the only Catholic church to ever feature in Mouse's timeline. Founded as a C12 Benedictine cell it's of immense significance due to its Norman Romanesque architecture. Now returned to Catholic worship #StJamesBristol
