It's just interesting to see someone act in a manner that's foreign to them because they are being controlled.
I loved The Assignment, it's not alien possession but I liked Man of the People. Cathexis was interesting. It's just a great trope. #TrekBookClub #StarTrekDemons

I think private research would be good for her. Starfleet is too regimented for her. Plus, how loose she was w/authority, she would've gotten into trouble eventually.
As for the book's endng w/teh rose. I liked it. I was sweet. #TrekBookClub #StarTrekDemons

Jane Wyatt's version wore her emotions on her sleeve. Mia Kirshner is more guarded and I think I like that version better. #TrekBookClub #StarTrekDemons

It was a good plan though they are very lucky that Vulcan buildings and homes are ventilated by air from outside (which I think is strange for a desert planet, but oh, well) #TrekBookClub #StarTrekDemons

Tbh, this seemed anticlimatic to me. The solution was simply put everyone to sleep because the parasites will die off?

I thought it was confusing. "We need you to feed" What does that mean? Feeding is just the murdering? Not infecting McCoy didn't make sense to me.

Spock was probably unsettled by the sight of his father and by the actions the aliens led him too. Logically, he knew Sarek was still infected but he let his guard down because he stil saw his father. The alien used Spock's conflicted emotions against him. #TrekBookClub #StarTrekDemons

McCoy got me so mad here I had to stop reading for a week.

I never heard the song she was talking abuot but I think it's really strange to name one's daughter after a fictional seductress.
Musical scenes--I like "Pop Goes the Weasel" in Encounter at Fairpoint. All concert scenes on TNG were great. #TrekBookClub #StarTrekDemons

She did make valid points. They have a better chance of getting to the cause of the investation and stopping it on Vulcan than the Enterprise, espcially with entire worlds at stake. #TrekBookClub #StarTrekDemons

It was a great exposition where they finally explained what was going on. Though, honestly, even though it is canon in TOS, I"m not thrilled with humans with psychic abilities. #TrekBookClub #StarTrekDemons

I love alien possession stories so I thought it was very effective. Pus, the fact that they caused the host to behave violentally added an eerie and tragic quality. #TrekBookClub #StarTrekDemons
