California bill would stop cities from fining, jailing homeless people for camping Sacramento police have issued an uptick in citations, which carry fines, starting in August 2023, a Sacramento Bee investigation found.

The bill is in process of being amended and is still active in the California Legislature, stay tuned for more updates. In the meantime, we could use you support to further uplift bill SB 634 (Pérez).
