PSA 3: Encourage Reading - Stop Literacy Shaming: Boy books v Girl books We all know that the more kids read, the more they will succeed! But too often, well-meaning educators, librarians, and adults discourage kids from reading by "shaming" kids about their literacy choices. Sometimes, adults think they need to steer boys to "boy books" and girls to "girl books" - but really, there's no such thing! If we work together, we can end "literacy shaming" and get kids to engage with reading like never before!

Yes! And same: @TchKimPossible surfaced this for me, too. She is directly responsible for the inclusion of Dr. Bishop's name in my latest #StopLiteracyShaming PSA!

So thankful to have such great provokers of thought to help me learn!
