Albanese signs security pact with Indonesia in Jakarta Prime Minister Anthony Albanese has travelled to Jakarta to sign the treaty, which the Australian government calls the "biggest step" the countries have taken together in 30 years.

He didn't but @albomp.bsky.social should've made the security pact between Australia& #Indonesia signed by himself and #Subianto "conditional" subject to #Indonesia permanently ceasing ALL human rights violations in #WestPapua and destruction of its environment.

Albanese announces security treaty with Indonesian President Prabowo Subianto Prime Minister Anthony Albanese and Indonesian President Prabowo Subianto have met in Sydney, where they will tour the navy base at Garden Island.

A "condition of entry" with the security treaty which @albomp.bsky.social should have made and not compromised on, with #Subianto, is that #Indonesia ends its paramilitary annexation of #WestPapua and ends all violence and persecution against West Papuans - NOW.

PM pressed on talks with Indonesian President over Russian military request Prime Minister Anthony Albanese has ducked questions about whether he was briefed by Indonesian President Prabowo Subianto following reports Russia was eyeing up basing military aircraft in the south-east Asian nation.

There is absolutely no legitimate reason why #Albanese and defence minister RICHARD MARLES cannot be completely upfront with the media both here and in #Indonesia about the dialogue between them and #Subianto in regards to #Russia 's purported request to establish an air force presence in #WestPapua
