Ho trovato come alternativa #SumatraPDF: open source, velocissimo, leggerismo, si apre in un momento quando serve e, se serve, funziona anche in modalità "portable" senza installazione.
Lo consiglio.

What _is_ it with modern #PDF readers that they eventually refuse to display pages of PDFs after you have used them for some time, and then you have to close the PDF and reload it?

Got fed up with the cluttered interface of Adobe Reader, so moved to #SumatraPDF. Really nice to have just the pdf open to be able to read undisturbed by tools I don't want or need. Should have done this ages ago.
