He tries to not focus on how weak his ma’s grip was on his limb or how uncoordinated the fingers of her left hand were. It’s easy not to focus on it when his temper is rolling at a steady pace low in his belly because Atsumu is not here. "Wow, Tsumu’s late?" Osamu taunts, venom dripping from his words without restrain. Usually, he tries to shield his ma from his anger toward his dipshit of a useless brother but the circumstances prevent him from even attempting to damper the growing inferno in his stomach. So, he lets himself be petty freely. "Who woulda thunk." "Stop," his ma orders from her reclined position in the hospital bed. A few cables tie her to a machine that beeps and boops, monitoring everything. "Be useful: call him for me."
