Looking south on west-coast beach - a hill on the other side of the bay is lit by a setting sun, whilst the beach itselfi s mostly darker in the dusk. The moon is visible and some birds flying. The sunlight reflects off the windows of a house on the opposite side of the bay, creating a startling golden reflection in the gently waves.
#SundayPix #SundayPixOld I'd been tidying up some older photographs this week and found this one which I think was originally taken on a film-camera in the 90s and scanned in at some point. The light that night was really something, especially as the sunset reflected in the windows.

An ancient Dutch building with a stepped triangular top front facade, dating back to the 16th century. The Witch weighing house was the definitive place to get certified in the 15th, 16th & 17th century in Europe.
Me, a woman in a lilac t-shirt & light denim shorts, standing on a large wooden platform with ropes at each corner - a human-sized weighing scale which dates back to 1482! This a renowned location in Europe to get certified that you weren't a witch.

The Horse museum in Lexington, Kentucky, US had a lovely scene & video display dedicated to these amazing horses. Did you know they lived in the tents of sheiks & were treated as family?

A glass shelf with cut crystal pieces on it: a trifle bowl, a silver rimmed sugar bowl, a jug, a tiny vase, two ducks, & a jar with lid. There are multicoloured wooden tulips in the juge & family photos behind them on all sides.
#SundayPixOld The jug holding the wooden tulips & the trifle bowl, both crystal, were brought over from Berlin by my Great Grandmother apparently back in late 1800s/early 1900s.

I’m not 100% sure how old this is. I’m going by my half remembered A level Geography. But the last ice age was about 10,000 years ago. So that would be when water started flowing again to cut a gorge.

My Dad worked for a textile printers and couldn't believe they were throwing old printing blocks away. This is 1 of 2 that he salvaged and I still have. I would love to know what the full pattern would have been (there would be different blocks for each colour). Possibly 19th century?
