Not been for a couple of years but always holds a special place in my heart

Changes in air travel. Most airports had observation decks and we’d go for a Sunday day trip to Manchester airport to see the planes and because the shops were open. If flying you could take photos while boarding. Wish I’d got photos of Clarkson planes

A “trunk” of brugmansia with the beginnings of three flowers growing from the crown, amongst large, soft leaves.
One of those large buds is lying along a leaf, with the petals beginning to poke out of its sheath. Little strands are visible.
Now the shape of the flower is more recognisable with the strands being the delicate ends of the immanent trumpet.
The pale peachy trumpet-shaped flower hanging down in all its glory, with its delicate ends curling up a bit. And they smell absolutely divine.

Couldn't actually find the photo of my first computer and it's too cold and dark to find it in the attic - so here's an older and a newer design for mobile computing

For the #SundayPix early birds, this week's these is Before and After, the hashtag being #SundayPixBefore&After

Four of my favourite photos starring leaf(s)
A tessellated canopy of leaves from beneath, with sunlight through them
A vivid red, very thin-bodied dragonfly resting on a smooth, light green leaf, which allows the insect’s shadow on it to depict the finest details of its wing veins and limbs in the bright sunlight.
A couple of trailing young red stems of Virginia Creeper with early green leaves, all against a background of an out-of-focus, rustic, tan wood fence.
A sleek, vivid metallic blue damselfly, settled with wings folded tightly along its body, on lacy leaves. In the blurry background are chaotic shadows and hints of two small pink flowers.

I enjoy how the weekly themes and writing Alt text for #SundayPix posts makes me look at, and think about, my photos again.

Haven’t posted a #SundayPix in a while because I didn’t seem to have the right photo. Anyway. This is someone hiding behind leaves on Langkawi last year.

“You ought to take a leaf out of his book”
Books have leaves.
Don’t do it literally though - unless you just read it. Removing leaves from books should never be done.

Don’t try this at home.
A few heads of iceberg lettuce at the grocery store, with a price label that says, “$8.99 each”. Yikes!
#SundayPixLeaf I took this photo on 4th July 2022. I don’t remember now why the lettuce was so damn expensive but I suspect it was to do with COVID lockdowns. A very expensive leaf, in any case, one that I would not have bought. #SundayPix

Many moons ago, Orinoco was “Mr October” on a #cavpack calendar and after that we’ve always taken an autumnal photo.
One year he was wearing a cone which worked well as a leaf-collector
