Young couple over the road had a bubby a year ago. Last year, Vietnamese grandma came and stayed for 3 months. Now, Italian Nonno and Nonna are here for a few months. None of the grandparents speak English so I guess that lucky little boy will have 3 languages growing up. 🥰 #Epping3076
Reporting from Melb‘s public transport. Today I drove to a station to avoid the less reliable bus. So, including the drive, parking, walking to the station, waiting for connections & walking to work at the other end, it took me 1’ 53” to get there & 1’ 55” to return. #Epping3076 > #Canterbury3126.

One of those large buds is lying along a leaf, with the petals beginning to poke out of its sheath. Little strands are visible.
Now the shape of the flower is more recognisable with the strands being the delicate ends of the immanent trumpet.
The pale peachy trumpet-shaped flower hanging down in all its glory, with its delicate ends curling up a bit. And they smell absolutely divine.

Holy cow! I can’t even get mine to fruit. It’s not a graft (I detest pulling up the stray suckers) and I even bought and buried a liver to give it some nutrients. Still no fruit. Well, not even any flowers. I think the soil is too poor here on the edge of the basalt plain. #Epping3076

So today the power went out at 2:20pm. By 7:00pm, AusNet texted that the power should be restored by 9:00pm. I’ve come to the #Epping3076 plaza to get cool, get www, & to have something to do other than wait for 2 hours. *sigh* Ah well, at least I’m not the Adelaide Festival, amiright?
