One of those large buds is lying along a leaf, with the petals beginning to poke out of its sheath. Little strands are visible.

Now the shape of the flower is more recognisable with the strands being the delicate ends of the immanent trumpet.

The pale peachy trumpet-shaped flower hanging down in all its glory, with its delicate ends curling up a bit. And they smell absolutely divine.

園芸種です。一時期、ものすごく流行りましたよね。なんであんなに流行ったんだろう？というくらい。でも最近は、めっきり見かけなくなってしまいました。エンゼルトランペットという名前しか知りませんでしたが、キダチチョウセンアサガオというのですね。毒草というのも、見かけなくなった理由のひとつなのでしょうか。
