@wombat37.bsky.social Coventry cathedral. As far as I can tell, the green painting behind the altar is on one huge piece of cloth...I could be wrong.
Inside of lustleigh church. White, half barrel ceiling with black ribbing. Looking down the aisle, between the pews towards the altar that is behind a pierced screen. 2 statues atop the rood screen, either side of a crucifix, all nicely symmetrical.

I spotted this tiny sign while heading to Nutclough Woods one day. It was hidden amidst moss and ferns and is from Calderdale Pagan Society. The geometric shape is known as 'the seed of life' and is made up of several overlapping circles that symbolise many things, including the passing of time (as shown here), the interconnectedness of all life forms, and the potential for self-growth. Marked around this seed of life symbol are the Pagan festivals of YULE, SAMHAIN, IMBOLC, MABON, OSTARA, LUGHNASADH, BELTANE and LITHA.
The bridge that straddles the gulley that runs through the middle of Nutclough Woods. If I worship anything, then it's the light in this place. It's unreal. This was taken in October 2024. The way the light's falling is cinematic. It highlights green moss covering the bridge and tree that's just in front of it. The ground is covered in fallen leaves in shades of red, yellow, orange and brown. I find the contrast between the two colourways mesmerising.
Golden hour as the setting sun breaks through an autumnal canopy covering Nutclough Woods, West Yorkshire. The camera's caught the sun and refracted it, so there are golden rays stretching around the silhouetted tree that dominates the foreground. Below that is a path covered in red-brown leaves, with mossy tree roots contrasting as they broach the fallen leaves. The canopy is full of warm yellow tones, and there are spring-like qualities to the lightening leaves that are turning ready to fall.
Standing on the bridge and looking down the gulley that splits Nutclough Woods in two. Either side of the stream, the ground is ablaze in autumnal colours. In the distance, a few trees cling on to yellow and orange leaves.
Right, that's the newcomers out of the way. Now to meet the Old Gods on the sacred ground that is Nutclough Woods. #SundayPixWorship
Pine trees, peridot green moss, pink heather, and a couple of sun rays shining in across the moss.

A landscape shot of two trails amidst woodland. The right-hand trail leads upwards, the left-hand trail leads to St Mary's Church. You'll need to look hard to spot the church tower: it's just peeping out from a point behind where the right path curves around. This was an amazing spot to find. There are trees, ferns and shrubs growing everywhere. The sky is blue, with fluffy white clouds.
A contender for the best-hidden church in England. St Mary's Church, Luddenden, West Yorkshire. #SundayPixWorship
A village church, built in a prominent position at a fork in the road. Trees around it. War memorial in front. Lych gate leading from street into the churchyard.

The sun rising over the sea in Mexico - the Yalcatan Penisula, on Akumal Beach. It is shouded in a streak of dark cloud, and the ocen is a silver grey as it rises.
#SundayPixWorship Always worthy of worshipping is the rising of the sun. It puts on a marvellous display.
A weeping willow standing on the edge of the banks of a water inlet. It is in full, thick, green leaf, and on this clear sunny day, it is perfectly reflected in the still waters in front of it.
#SundayPixWorship I only go to churches to look round them, I prefer instead to marvel and stand in awe of nature - in particular this weeping willow, which I do worship.
A somewhat translucent, white clam shell filled with even tinier shells & grains of sand, held in the palm of my hand, lit with golden late day sunlight.

Looking towards the pulpit, with the camera pointing upwards to show the painted ceiling (known as a 'boss' apparently). There are two rows of columns and arcades (I may well be getting terminology confused as I'm not religious). Behind the pulpit is some detailed Gothic wood carving, painted in gold. The ceiling is made up of multiple panels, and if memory serves me well, each one shows an English king. There are 30 visible here.
A clearer shot of the painted ceiling in Beverley Cathedral. There are 28 panels fully-visible, with four more just going out of frame. In each one is a depiction of an English king if wonky memory serves me well. The colours are incredible for something so old, but it may have been restored over the years.
A shot of another part of the ceiling in Beverley Cathedral, with a large stained glass window. I can't make out what the images in the stained glass are, but they're likely to do with the life of christ. The ceiling features blue panels with gold painted inlays and stars. They're divided by deep red-coloured frames.

Curved gothic arches lean and stretch towards the lens in the ruins of Heptonstall old church. There's no roof at all, only the internal support structures (two rows of Gothic arches, with the other visible through the one nearest the lens) and external walls. Also visible through the main arch is the former church tower, with some spring-green trees waking up to the right.
Standing closer to the former church tower looking towards what would have been the nave. The remains of the huge window are almost central, and each side is a row of columns and Gothic arches. The ground is paved with grass and flowers sprouting from between the paving stones. Overhead a clear blue sky and not a cloud in sight.
Pics for #SundayPixWorship The remains of St Thomas aโ Becket church, Heptonstall. Originally built between 1256 and 1260, it was damaged by a storm in 1847. Use continued until 1854 when the second church, St Thomas the Apostle, was completed.
Reminds me of a 'Mandelbulb' fractal.
