Went past this motte from the 1100s. The site also has a cairn for the battle of Inverurie in 1308, & close by is one for a 2nd battle of Inverurie in 1745. There are also Pictish symbol stones &, 100 yds away, across the river Don, there’s a WWII pillbox. A great site!
